About

I'm Maxwell Boateng, the creator of A-Z Government. My interest in Government began at Adventist Senior High School in Bantama, Kumasi, where I first studied the subject as a student. That interest carried me into studying Political Science at university. After my Bachelor's degree, I taught Government to final-year students at Kenyasi S.D.A. Senior High School, before going on to complete my Master's and now a PhD in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

Seeing how a few clear explanations could change a student's confidence going into WASSCE is exactly why I built this site — I want every SHS student studying Government, not just the ones who happened to be in my classroom, to have that same support.

Above all, I give thanks to God Almighty for making this possible. To my wife, Bella, and my brother, Prince — thank you for the strength and support that carried me through this project. To Kateri Dupuis, a close friend I met here in the USA — thank you for everything. And to my mother, Benita Nyarko, whose name this site carries — everything I build, I build with you in mind.

FAQ

What is BeniGov?

BeniGov is a free and premium study companion for Ghanaian SHS students preparing for the WASSCE Government exam. It includes a free A–Z glossary of key Government terms and a free practice quiz, plus a premium tier with objective questions, essay questions with model answers, and current-event examples tied to the syllabus.

Is BeniGov free?

The glossary and practice quiz are completely free to use. The premium tier (past questions, model answers, and focus areas) is a one-time payment of GHS 15.

How do I pay for premium access?

Payments are processed securely through Paystack, using Mobile Money (MoMo) or card. BeniGov never sees or stores your card or MoMo details directly — Paystack handles all payment processing.

What do I get after I pay?

Once your payment is confirmed, premium content unlocks on your device: objective questions with instant scoring, essay questions with full model answers, the current focus areas section, and a printable/downloadable revision PDF.

Is my access permanent?

Yes — once unlocked, premium access is lifetime access on that device/browser.

What if my payment goes through but nothing unlocks?

Contact us through the message form on the site with your payment details, and we'll resolve it — either by unlocking your access manually or issuing a refund.

Can I get a refund?

See our Refund Policy in the Terms of Service tab.

Is there a BeniGov app in the Play Store or App Store?

Not yet — but BeniGov can be added to your phone's home screen as a free app-like shortcut with full-screen access, no app store or download needed. On Android, tap "Install BeniGov" when it appears; on iPhone, tap the Share button in Safari and choose "Add to Home Screen."
